fair share! for women artists
The fair share! alliance is a growing initiative of female visual artists, art historians and cultural workers from Berlin with a supra-regional impact. The activists are campaigning for greater visibility for female artists in the state-funded art sector and are calling for a representation quota in all areas of contemporary art as well as a revaluation of the contributions of female artists throughout history.

The fair share! alliance outlines its demands in a manifesto and thus joins the German Cultural Council, the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK) and the bbk berlin.
In recent years, numerous studies and press articles have emerged, examining gender-related disparities such as the gender pay gap and gender show gap.
fair share! works together with female experts on various projects that promote gender equality and greater visibility of female artists in the art world.
